Stourbridge Steam Engine

This Steam Engine was built in Stourbridge, England in 1828.
It was used by the Delaware and Hudson Canal Company in the U.S.
It arrived in New York in May of 1829. It was first operated on
August 9th, 1829 by Horatio Allen. It was given the very British name of "Lion."
