Cugnot's Steam Carriage

Cunot's Steam Carriage

In 1769 Frenchman Nicholas Joseph Cugnot designed a self-powered
steam driven vehicle. It had three wheels and was built by M. Brezin.
It was large and heavy and while it precursored the steam locomotive,
it did not run on tracks. It was an amazing achievement in it's day.
