Wider is better did not originate with the Pontiac. this Mercedes was Wider, lower, and longer than the automobiles being produced at the time. It was faster and easier to handle than most, as well. many features were pioneered which would later be adopted by other car makers. It had a honeycomb radiator, and a multiple speed transmission. It also had a pressed steel frame, an electric ignition system and a foot throttle. Many consider it to be a masterpice of engineering and workmanship.
