The Lord
Peter one of the Lord Jesus' closest followers said in the book of Acts, chapter 2 and verse 36,
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly
that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,
both Lord and Christ."
Paul the special messenger of God tells us in the book of Romans chapter 6 and verse 23 -
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Paul also wrote in the book of Romans chapter 10 verses 9 & 10 -
"that If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in
righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation."
Confess simply means to agree with what God says. The good news is that Jesus came to this earth to suffer and die and pay the penalty for our sin. He conquered death on our behalf. If we simply place our faith and trust in Him, He will freely give us the gift of eternal life.
A salvation prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I could never be good enough to deserve being with you in Heaven. I thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die on the cross and pay the penalty for my sin. I believe that He rose from the grave and conquered death for all that believe in Him including me. I place my faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save me. It is in His name I pray. Amen
